China will abolish the export tax rebates for solar cells and solar panels.

According to a notice issued by China Customs on January 9, 2026, effective April 1, 2026, the export tax rebate for solar cells and solar modules exported from China will be completely eliminated. Consequently, starting April 1, 2026, the prices of solar cells and solar modules will increase by approximately 9%.
