Dec 2025 Solar PV Module Price Update: TOPCon & HJT Market Trends
Against the backdrop of the global renewable energy transition, the solar PV module market has seen notable price dynamics in December 2025. Specifically, TOPCon solar modules have experienced partial price cuts, with the price range stabilizing at RMB 0.62–0.72 per watt. Among leading solar module manufacturers, Jinko Solar has adjusted its module quotations downward by another RMB 0.01–0.03 per watt after a half-month interval; the cumulative maximum reduction across these two price adjustments has reached RMB 0.05–0.09 per watt.
A key observation from the solar energy market is that while explicit full-range price reductions have not yet emerged, promotional and low-priced products have become the dominant segment based on actual shipment data. In the past week, four top-tier solar brands have launched low-efficiency promotional modules—all of which are 210R low-efficiency models—with prices dipping to the low range of RMB 0.61–0.63 per watt. This trend reflects the industry’s efforts to optimize inventory and meet the demand for cost-effective solar modules.
In contrast, the price of HJT solar modules has remained stable, hovering between RMB 0.69–0.75 per watt. For high-power products, leading manufacturers have opened pre-orders for 740W+ HJT modules, which are priced relatively higher at over RMB 0.75 per watt, though there is a certain degree of negotiation room for bulk procurement. Meanwhile, year-end production adjustments and promotional inventory clearance activities are still in progress; as a result, the price of some 700W low-efficiency HJT modules has dropped to around RMB 0.60 per watt, offering attractive options for budget-conscious solar project developers.
