Cadmium telluride (CdTe) solar power glass refers to a type of transparent and electricity-generating glass where CdTe thin-film module are encapsulated. It is mainly applied in Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV), using power-generating glass facades to replace traditional glass facades, thereby enabling buildings to generate their own power. This application is suitable for structures such as commercial buildings, airports, metro stations, etc. It can also be fashioned into rooftop photovoltaic systems for factories and residential rooftops, reducing building energy consumption.
The production of CdTe solar power glass involves depositing multiple layers of semiconductor thin films (such as cadmium sulfide, cadmium telluride, etc.) on glass or other flexible substrates and integrating electrode structures to directly convert sunlight into electrical energy. At its core, it utilizes the principle of the photoelectric effect in p-n junctions to transform photon energy into electrical energy.
Manufacturing step:
, Produce Cadmium telluride solar module
, Loading front PV Glass
, Layup PVB film
, Loading CdTe film PV module
, Paste insulating pieces and tape
, Paste Electrode lead-out wire
, Layup second layer of PVB film
, Loading back glass.
, Triming and Sealing dege
, Laminating
, Remove edge banding tape and Trimming
, Install Junction box
, Inspection
, Packing
