Solar Cell Price Continues to Decline this Week (2023.10.4)

This week, the price of solar cell continued to decline. The mainstream transaction price of the M10 solar cell was 0.09 USD/W, the mainstream transaction price of the G12 solar cell was 0.095 USD/W, and the M10 single crystal TOPCON solar cell price was 0.092 USD/W.

From the perspective of the supply side, the overall inventory of the cell section is obvious, the P-type inventory is about one week, and the number of N -inventory weekly number is accumulated until two weeks. On the one hand, TOPCON cell production capacity continues to climb, and on the other hand, a large amount of inefficient and test film output makes it difficult to circulate in the market. This has caused the overall inventory of N-type to accumulate obvious, dragging down the overall transaction price of N-type.

From the perspective of the demand, the downstream module factories will continue to enter the holiday state, and the demand for procurement will weaken. In addition, the delivery of project order in the second half of the year is still dominated by P -type. The demand for N -type modules has not yet officially opened up, and the actual digestion of N -type cells is limited.

In the short term, considering the downward price of silicon wafers, weak demand, and continuous accumulation of inventory, the price of solar cells is expected to continue to decline slightly.
