Argentina's Ezeiza International Airport to Use More than 90% of Green Energy from 2023

Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 has reached an agreement with a green energy supplier to ensure that more than 90% of the energy consumption at Ezeiza International Airport will be renewable energy starting in February 2023.

The airport management company said in a statement that it has reached a long-term memorandum with one of the country's leading green energy companies to provide 100 % of energy.

It is understood that the total annual power generation is about 70 MW, of which more than 90% will be renewable energy within the framework of the renewable energy end market, mainly from the supply of wind power parks and photovoltaic solar parks.

‘With this measure, the airport affirms its commitment to the environment and sustainable development within the framework of a sustainable development policy that reduces carbon emissions’, said the airport management company. CEO Daniel Ketchibachian said, ‘This partnership brings the energy company into the airport's strategy. Partners, we reaffirm our commitment to the environment with more predictable energy spending, which is also a first step in the use of renewable energy at other airports in the country.’
